The ‘Fulgurex’ Point Motor

The ‘FULGUREX’ point motor is fitted as ‘Standard’ to all points on the Upstairs Layout.

The upper diagram in Fig.1 below is a diagrammatic representation of the motor. The motor is mounted centrally on a base plate. Its drive worm and worm wheel arrangement move a carriage horizontally between two sets of relay type switches.

There are two switches mounted one above the other at each end. The lower set is there to adjust the movement of the carriage between stops. The upper set is for us to use as necessary.

The lower diagram in Fig. 1 below shows the underside of the point motor base plate. In this view the base plate has been flipped horizontally by 180 Degrees.
